Gualala River // July 31st 2023

Gualala River Redwood Park to the Pacific // 1 mile // 3 hrs

Set up camp and put in at the Gualala River Redwood Park. Crystal clear water near the put in and some of the most beautiful paddling I've done.

We paddled pretty effortlessly for a good hour until we hit the last bend which put us in direct view of the mouth of the Pacific. That is where the wind picked up significantly and paddling became extremely difficult. Most of the trip was spent battling the wind.

Had a bit of fun towards the end as I hill bombed into the water filling up my kayak about half way before we trudged across and took out somewhere around the Surf Market, I think.
